Flu Vaccination in Pregnancy

Why should pregnant women receive the flu vaccine?

Research has shown that pregnant women who catch the flu are more at risk of complications from the virus, especially during the later stages of pregnancy.

Having flu during pregnancy can lead to an early labour, so it is very important for pregnant women to get vaccinated.

It is safe to have the flu vaccine at any stage of pregnancy and the vaccine can even offer some protection to your baby during the first few months of life.
